A circular silver tray, its rim set all round with applied miniature replicas of jeweller's tools: pliers, files, piercing saws, compasses, squares, calipers, shears, toothed wheels, rolling mills and drawplates. At the centre is an openwork gilt monogram, ringed by an engraved dedicatory inscription. According to the publication, the tray was presented to Marshak by the workers of his own factory in 1913, on its thirty-fifth anniversary. The tools around the rim are accurate models of those actually used in the Khreshchatyk workshops.
