Kharytyna Kononenko
Kharytyna (Kharytia) Kononenko (1900, Mykolaivka in the Poltava region — 1943, Rivne) was a public activist and journalist with doctorates in philosophy, law and economics, daughter of the poet Musii Kononenko. She edited the women's page of Dilo. In 1941–1943 she was one of the leaders of the Ukrainian Red Cross in Volhynia and supplied medicines to the UPA. Arrested by the Germans, she was shot in Rivne in 1943.Collection9
